I just created both a Customer List Report and Grouped Customer List report that filtered on the salesperson that startswith Ash and got a list of Howard Ashburton's customers in my sample file.  In the employee ledger the names are listed last name first.

If this doesn't help, maybe you can tell us which version of the program you are using, which report and report options you are using.

Thanks Richard, I tried that report, I get the response "there is no data to report".  I am using Sage 50 Premium 2015. I do select the salesperson's name on each sales invoice so this confuses me.

Open a customer ledger where you put the customer names and addresses.  Is there anything in the Salesperson drop-down?  If not, nothing will show on the report.  This information in the report is not from the invoices, but from the default sales person for the customer account.

If you need a report that will show:

-  all the invoices for saleperson X, or

- all the customers where salesperson X was chosen for at least one invoice,

then that would require a custom report from non-Sage 50 software.

Probably XLGL would do this fairly easily, there's a trial at www.logicimtech.com.

I don't have a Salesperson drop down list on my customer ledger.  The only headings are name, balance owing, ytd sales, credit limit.

You may not have the department drop-down if you have not activated departments.
