I want to print an expense by account report but not the graph one. I need one that actually shows the budget amount and the actual spent.
Please help?
Will the Comparative Income Statement work for you? This statement shows all Revenue and Expense accounts and can show the Budget for the same accounts. another column can be added to show the difference by percentage or dollar value. The budget figures obviously have to be input into Sage 50 and I find it works best when the budget is allocated by month.
And to get the screen to look like Randy's you need to turn on budgeting
Setup> Settings> General> Budget> Click the box and set your budget frequency. OK

Thank you Chels for asking the question, if you hadn't I would never have noticed there was a handy Expenses Vs. Budget graph!
I had made the assumption that the original poster already had budgeting switched on and set in the accounts, only couldn't get expenses vs budget numbers displayed.
