Hi
Currently I get the total profit for the month from income statement. But my boss asked me to find the profit for the week or given time period (within the month). Is there any way to get the profit tiil a given date??
Thanks
The income statement by definition has a From and a To date. You can enter Aug 3 to Aug 9 if you wish to see just one week. If you wish to see just this year to date, then select This Fiscal Year from the Range dropdown.
Thanks Richard S. Ridings.
But I can't see a "date range" option on drop down.
There are only "period range (monthly), current period and current year" options available on drop down.
Is there anyway to add specific date ranges option on to dropdown?
By definition anything on the Range drop down is a date range. If you use Today, then the range is from today to today. If you use This month, then the range is from Aug 1 to today, Aug 23.
See the images below. The first image shows a date range entered individually for the Universl company. You can see the Range is Custom because I entered a specific week, so the range is custom. So you can enter any dates within the Current fiscal year 2015 (in the example below), or you can see in the second image below how I used Year-to-Date options without bothering to type them in.
In the second image below, the Range is This Fiscal Year. For this company, the fiscal year starts Jul 1/14 and ends Jun 30/15. The Session Date for this file is Mar 31/15, so This fiscal year goes from Jul 1/14 to Mar 31/15.
Hope this helps
