Bank Reconciliation

Hi

Here's my dilemma...The bookkeeper prior to me started using the bank reconciliation but then quit half way thru the year. I am starting the books on the new year and wish to use this feature, however, I have all these outstanding entries. What is the best way to handle this? Is it possible to just do a reconciliation at the end of the previous year to include all the prior months and then start fresh in the new year? Or will this mess things up? I have made some entries into the new year if that makes a difference.
