Graphs for Revenue vs Last year

Am I missing sometihng?

I'd like to see the software use all data available. Not just last years. Now that I'm into my third year, I'd like to see all three years in the graph.

The graph should go back as far as possible.

My pro editon of SA holds seven years of data. I'd like to see all seven years worth.

Hurray for people with 100 years of data, Now that would be a graph!

  • Just delete or move the *.ch7 file in the same folder as the company file you are using.  The graph will reset when you rerun them.  The files have the same name as the company file.

I have the same problem but need a little more direction as to how to fix this problem.  Can you provide a more detailed explanation for someone a little less tech savy? Thanks

You have tagged onto a 4 year old thread and indicated you have the same problem, but the OP indicated two problems.  So please create your own thread and clearly indicate if your problem is that the graphs do not show all data and what you expect them to report or if your problem is that the axes do not adjust according to the data.  You paste a link back to this thread if you wish.

If it is the former, please be aware that the graphs from the Graphs menu were programmed last century (and never updated) before there was more than one or two years of data stored in the files and the solution to the other problem is above, so if you are having problems with the directions, please indicate where you are having the problems.

Sorry for not clarifying.  In the Current Revenue vs Last Year Graph, I clicked on cumulative and now my dollar figures are way too high.  You made the following suggestion:  "Just delete or move the *.ch7 file in the same folder as the company file you are using.  The graph will reset when you rerun them.  The files have the same name as the company file." but I don't understand the instructions.  Could you provide additional instructions?  Thanks so much for your help.

    Theresa,

I assume you are not complaining about your sales being too high but that the axis shows a very large number compared to the top sales value.  If so, are you saying you cannot find the *.ch7 file location, the file itself or that when deleting it, it didn't correct the problem?

If you can't find the location, go to File, Properties and click on the location.  The filename is the same as the *.sai file.

If the file itself is not there, just delete or rename all the *.ch? files.

If it didn't correct the problem, then just delete all *.ch? files as you may be running a different report than the OP and therefore have a different ch file to work with.
