Installing a second version of Sage 50 on same computer

SOLVED

I have just started my own bookkeeping company.  I have Sage50 Pro installed to track my own company, and I am trying to install Sage 50 First Step for a clients' company and it won't allow it because there is already one installed.  How do I make this work?  Do I have to buy the really expensive version to handle multiple companies?

Karen - if you are doing bookkeeping for other companies then you should be purchasing the Account Edition for your business.  Then you will be able to open other sage version of same year thru your Sage Account Edition. The Acct Edition is actually cheaper than the Pro that you have purchased. If you have recently purchased the Pro perhaps you can upgrade to Acct Ed and get a refund for the difference.

I have Sage Acct Ed 2014 as well as 2013 and 2012 - I am able to open Sage Pro or Sage Premium or Sage Quantum etc in any of my Acct Edition as long as it is the same year.

Smith, how much is the mentioned 2014 Canadian Edition for 1 user with 1-year payroll? Its website has the Pro Edition without payroll for C$229.95.
