Email Vendor Remittance Payment & Inventory Default account number

SUGGESTED

Is there a way to email to the vendor a copy of their payment.  I make a payment on a vendor and they want a copy of it.  Currently I print it and fax it to them.  Would be easier to just email it.  Is there a flag I need to change to allow this.

Inventory items.  All inventory items create go to the same accounts  #1300 Inventory and 5005 Cogs.  Is there a way to link these accounts instead of entering them each time.

Thanks

    Hi Bobcaygeon,

You can do so by changing the payment method from cash or cheque to direct deposit.

Please follow the KB article link below.

For inventory, if you set it up under the inventory module, you will have to select asset and COGS linked account.  Then, every time you do a sales on that inventory item, it will automatically credit the linked asset account and debit the linked COGS account.

You can quickly create an inventory item by clicking Inventory & Services icon.  Then, go to File and select create.  In the Inventory & Services Records window, key in the number and the description of the item.   Make sure the Type is Inventory.  Then, go to Linked tab and provide the Asset, Revenue, COGS and Variance account.

    Hope this helps
