Is it possible to create a set of books for two separate companies?

If so, how is this done?
Yes, you can create 2 separate company files in Simply Accounting. When you double click on program shortcut, you can select the "create a new company" option in the Welcome screen that appears and follow the new company wizard. If you don't get the Welcome screen appearing when starting up the program, please see this knowledgebase article.
Once this company file is open, you can create a 2nd company by clicking on "File/New Company", click "Yes" when you get the "Are you finished with this company" prompt, then go through the new company wizard again.
