Forgot your Sage ID password? special contribution by Carlo Paraninfi

1 minute read time.

Today with advanced computing, we use many different accounts associated that require passwords consisting of characters, symbols, uppercase, numbers, etc. ... All of this to ensure the  maximum security of our information. We've all at one time or another, or regularly, or even daily (depending on how much sleep we've gotten) experienced the same problem when we find ourselves in front of this kind of window:

What’s the d$#% password!!!

If you have already tried all the birthdays of your loved ones, the names of your dear four-legged friend, feathered or otherwise, and even tried typing randomly on your keyboard, fear no more! Here in Sage 50, we have a simple and quick way to recover your Sage ID password:

1. Open Sage 50 and in the main screen click on File, Sage Drive, Open Sage Drive Management Centre

2. On the next screen Select Forgot your password?

3. Type in your email address associated with your Sage ID. Hopefully this one's easier to remember.

4. Type in the CAPTCHA, the weird code that we use to refresh at least five times to find something ironically readable by human being… Then click Continue.

5. Now, go to your e-mail account to retrieve the code and enter it in the following window.

6. You will have to enter a new password. For example, a secure way to create a password is to use a short sentence from your favorite book or catch phrase. You can replace some letter by the number equivalent (E=3, O=Zero, L=1…). Longer and complicated a password is, harder it will to crack it. And remember it… using a specific way that you are the only one to know, for example for the sentence, the page and the line of your favorite book.
