Another improvement we implement in Sage 50 is that we have upgraded the database to MySQL 5.6.10.

Clients’ files, folder, services, etc. remain the same on a more robust database with increased stability.

For clients who installed the 2014.0 release instead of the 2014.1 release. They may encounter an issue when converting their database from an earlier version of Sage 50. If the following message, “Sage 50 has found a problem in your company file and is unable to upgrade it (MySQL 5.6.10).” comes up, no need to worry.  All you have to do is to download the 2014.1 release, uninstall your 2014.0 release and then reinstall the 2014.1 back.
