Unit of measure conversion

Ok, I'm running Sage MRP against our system and I have found a issue with unit of measure.  We have a base unit of measure of EA .  We sell in units of "72 cel" which are set up properly to the best of my knowledge as 72 each's.  However, when the MRP is run and the unit of measure on sales orders is 72 cel the consumption of forecast is incorrect.  For example: If Forecast is 500 each's and I sell two 72celon a sales order (144 each's) the forecast is reduced but by only 2 pcs.  In contrast if I sell 144 each's on the sales order my forecast is reduced to 366 as it should be.   I've been playing around in our sandbox changing and checking but I can't find any cause.  We have 72 cel setup in UoM setup and I find the conversion set up on the item.  I really need the MRP to work properly and as it stands now I end up over producing due to this error.  Help needed, any suggestions gladly accepted.

At the item level .   If you your conversions tables are not correct, you will get some crazy numbers.  Each of our items has a,  Our Stock UOM = Pounds,  Our Stock per Unit = Gallon,  Our Stock per Unit = Tote.  This enables us to product by one UOM and sell by another UOM.  It is a little complex for chat boxes, email me at [email protected]
