Latest Windows 10 Update may unregister SAGE 500 2017 SOTA controls

Well I do not know how or why it happened, but the latest update to WIndows 10 for some strange reason un-registered the Sage 500 2017 SOTA Controls on a client machine.  The client was previously working but overnight Microsoft pushed an update down and installed it.  When Sage 500 was started the next day, no tasks would open.  Running the Display Tracker, I noticed for example when Maintain Vendors was started and error about the SOTA Toolbar not being found was recorded.  I next tried Maintain Site and it too would not start with the Display Tracker recording that the SOTA Dropdown OCX could not be found.

To correct the problem,  I wound up uninstalling Sage 500, cleaning up the registry entries, and re-installing it.  This corrected the issue and the client works once more.  So if your Sage 500 2017 client on Windows 10 was working one day and not the next, see if Microsoft installed an update and if the errors in the Display Tracker refer to missing SOTA Controls.  If so, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the client to fix.
