i'm having issue with adding serial numbers to a package. if I add one serial number to a package, when i reopen it, all the serial numbers get move to the package.
Any idea why that would be?

I'm not really sure what you are talking about. MAS 500 does not have packages unless you are using a 3rd party add-on. Are you talking about shipping?
Sorry I was not clear in my question. Yes it is a shipment, enter pack list.
once you create a package, you add package contents and under lot/serial you assign specific serial for that package, as we add serial to a package, once we close the form and reopen it, all the serial get added to package.
Basically, it is not letting serial to add to different package and other weird things is that it is happening for some items, not all of them items.

What version of Sage 500 are you using, and what is the latest update applied?

This may or may not help much, but a very similar sounding issue was addressed as of the 7.4 Sep 2012 product update. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if it is the same issue.
