Error: "Accounting.Application.BI.Integrator has stopped working" when launching Sage 500 Intelligence

Lately we’ve been getting more calls on the error: "Accounting.Application.BI.Integrator has stopped working" when launching Sage 500 Intelligence from a Sage 500 Client. We have noticed that most of the calls were coming from our customers who have been running Sage 500 Intelligence from Windows 8, Windows 10, or Windows Server 2012 operating systems. Below are suggested resolutions for all supported operating systems:


For all supported operating system except Windows 8, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2012:
Set User Access Control (UAC) to the lowest setting:
1. Click Start, Control Panel, User Accounts (administrator rights may be necessary)
2. Click Change User Account Control Settings
3. Set the slider to Never Notify, and then click OK
4. A restart may be required for the settings to take effect.
Run Sage 500 ERP desktop as an administrator
1. Shut down the Sage 500 ERP desktop from the workstation if it is currently launched.
2. Right click on the Sage 500 ERP desktop icon and select Run As Administrator
3. Launch Report Manager or Report Manager (Consolidation)
Note: Once these steps are performed, the user will no longer be required to launch the Sage 500 Desktop icon as the administrator in order to run Sage Intelligence Reporter

How to deactivate User Access Control (UAC) in Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012:

1. Go to Start, Search, type 'regedit' and hit Enter
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, SOFTWARE, Microsoft, Windows, CurrentVersion, policies, system
3. Look for 'EnableLUA'
4. Right click and select 'Modify'
5. Change the 'Value data' from 1 to 0
6. Click 'OK'
7. A notification will display that a reboot is required
8. After the reboot, the UAC is disabled or deactivated
9. Reinstall Sage Intelligence client
10. Right click on the Sage 500 ERP desktop icon and select Run As Administrator
11. Launch Report Manager or Report Manager (Consolidation)
