Important: Changes to web ROE submissions for Sage 300

Hi All,

This is a quick heads up. After March 31, 2016, Service Canada is no longer accepting web ROEs that are formatted using version 1.0 of XML File Layout. Our team is working to update Sage 300 ERP in order to make sure you're system is ready to process web ROEs using version 2.0 of XML File Layout. This should be complete by end of 2015.

Do we have an ETA for this change? - several clients are getting phone calls from CRA warning them of the expiration date.

Hi Bill

The changes have already been implemented in the Payroll 7.2 tax updates available in Dec 2015 .

Hi Richard,
The changes have not been implemented in Payroll v7.2, I spoke with Sage and they said that they are aware of March 31st deadline but they have not heard anything from R&D regarding any update to accomodate the change needed for the ROE.

Hi Meenu,

You say that the changes should be made by the end of 2015 but as per Sage there is no information as to when or if the R&D Team will implement the change. Can you please clarify?

There seems to be a small bug in the ROE XML format. The XML data is being populated with the Employee name for Box 16 instead of the company Contact Name, even though the Sage 300 screen shows the company Contact Name. Richard, I've sent you a screen shot and printed copy of the ROW showing the problem. This is CP72A with the January 2016 tax tables.
