A customer has a document scanner that reads font 3 of 9 in their current ERP system.  They're moving to Sage 300 and wants us to put bar codes on various documents (forms) to capture vendor, customer, document number, etc.

I have the font installed in our environment, but the fields I convert to barcode and/or use this font on are not readable at the customer site.  Crystal doesn't see the font when I do the 'convert to barcode'.  In other applications, I've bracketed the field with "*" so the scanner can see the start/stop in the read, but when I try that in the forms, I get an error.  

I'm using stock Sage 300 forms, copying the field I want to convert to another part of the form, btw.

There must be a trick I don't know about and I'd appreciate any help on this.
