  • HI,

    Can anybody let me know abt error" Invalid Database Specification", bcz i am to installing Sage Accpac 5.5A for on Windows , and when i try to login to a company above mentioned error appears, although i am using admin account. I have installed for one another client on Windows 7 and working fine, I lot try to reinstall and install it again but no affect, same problem yet.

    Version: Sage Accpac 5.5A
    Database: SQL Server 2005
    Server Operiting System: windows 2003
    Cleint Operiting System: Windows 7

    Note: For other cleints its working fine.

  • 64-bit OS?  Create the DSN using C:\Windows\Syswow64\Odbcad32.exe.

    Thanks for your reply, but we have Windows7 & this is 32 bit OS

  • Turn off UAC.

  • Same issue yet

  • Then you need to find out what's different about this version of Windows 7 than the other ones.  Maybe the MSSQL driver that's installed, or a service pack.

  •  Can you suggest me how to get Web Client Setup for Accpac 5.5 A



  • I'm not sure what this has to do with the subject of this thread, but Accpac's web client is downloaded from the internet page used to access Accpac.  FWIW, none of my clients run Accpac over the web, it's too slow.

  • Try to run Accpac using right-click and run as administrator. If you're using Domain User, make sure it is a member of local administrator. 

  • try to delete existing odbc connection and let the accpac create it by itself
