Had the exact same issue but on a V6.2A/2014 workstation. Turned out to be Avast A/V blocking files to run from the server. Excluded the path to the server installation on the workstation's Avast and the problem was gone. Something is blocking the files to run from the server location.

I just dealt with this right now with another client - the workstations run Avast and move the file to a chest - making it useless for other computers, including the server.

This error occurs on the server with no AV installed. no workstations involved.

It is a known issue with Avast right now... just saying. Someone must be running avast somewhere on the network.

By way of an update on this issue, I would like to add that Ettienne is right with the missing program/ocx but it is not always where you think. I had an issue with this error in AP invoice entry but only for some companies. David at Sage support told me how to check in system info as this displays if a module is active but has missing programs. In this case, the problem was caused by a missing program in Orchids EFT folder EL but the error was on the AP0024 view.

The Sage system info screen shows the APP id as APEL but the next column 'name' only shows EL when it should display EFT. I re-installed EFT and this fixed the issue.
