Software notice 17-D was sent on April 13 to customers who use Sage 300 Payroll for Sage 300:

Notice details:

Sage is supporting only the current release and 2 previous releases of Sage 300: Sage 300 2017, 2016 and 2014. We encourage you to contact your Sage business partner to upgrade to the latest supported version to ensure that you stay current with product features and ongoing development work.

If you use Sage 300 Payroll for Sage 300 2012:

Effective May 1, 2017, Sage 300 Payroll can no longer be used for Sage 300 2012. If you cannot upgrade to a supported version of Sage 300 by May 1, you can extend the Payroll expiry deadline by following the instructions in Knowledgebase article 83006.
