Have you been looking for an easier way to migrate your customers’ data from one Sage ERP solution to another? Well now there is with the introduction of the Sage ERP Migrator.
This new tool will greatly reduce data migration time making the transition to a new solution faster and smoother.
How does the Sage Migrator work?
It facilitates data migration by transforming data using three procedures:
1) Data is extracted from the source ERP and maintained in the Migrator database
2) Data is transformed into the format consistent with the destination ERP
3) The transformed data is loaded into the destination ERP using a process that carefully ensures data integrity.
Data may be edited at any stage prior to loading into the destination ERP.
What ERP solutions are currently compatible with Sage ERP Migrator?
Currently, the Migrator is optimized to transfer data from either Sage PFW ERP or Sage PRO ERP to Sage 300 ERP (Standard, Advanced and Premium). For other products, we are evaluating various Sage ERP solutions that may be available with Sage ERP Migrator in the future.
Which migrations are available for the financial data?
Sage ERP Migrator offers migrations for System data (Multi-Currency, Banks, and Taxes) as well as Core Financial data (G/L, A/P, and A/R) using Extract, Transform and Load processes. The following financial data will migrate:
• Master Files for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable
• General Ledger Beginning Balances
• General Ledger Historical transactions – up to seven years
• AP Open transactions (invoice balances and unapplied payments)
• AR Open transactions (invoice balances and unapplied receipts)
Using a tree-view interface, the Migrator displays a listing of customers’ migration tasks based on the modules and the number of years of historical data to be migrated.
The Migrator organizes the migration into separate tasks. You may migrate the entire database at one time or you may migrate the data in stages (by module or by task within a module). This lets you stop and restart the process as needed.
Plans are in the works for the Migrator tool to include migrations for distribution modules, including components of Inventory, Order Entry, and Purchasing.

The Sage ERP Migrator is free to partners who certify and pass the assessment and are already certified on Sage 300 ERP. The tool can be downloaded more than once with the link that partners receive. We actually recommend that you download the Sage ERP Migrator when you are on site with the customer to ensure the latest version will be used.
