Bill of Materials (BM) Cost Roll-Up Process

When I run/print the BM Cost Roll-up Register, I am expecting the "New Cost" to equal the Costed BM Report amount.  I am actually getting some different number and I can't determine how it is derived.

Am I wrong thinking? What am I missing?

I want to use this process to automatically update the IM Item Standard Cost (in the CI_Item file).

    Mine don't match either.

    We don't use the cost rollup register, so I've never bothered to investigate how it calculates the costs.


    As to the costed BOM report, I get reasonably accurate info only if I choose the 'specific bills' report type. Pretty much all of our bills include fractional quantities of components that have 'each' as their unit of measure. The 'specific bills' report type handles the fractional eaches just fine, but the 'selection of bills' version rounds them all up to the next whole number, which makes for wildly inaccurate costs in our case. I mention this just in case you have something similar going on that you hadn't noticed.
