ODBC .dll issues on Windows 7 (64-bit) operating systems.

I am wondering if anyone else had run into this issue with using custom ODBC files when using Windows 7 64-bit.  It all started with some custom Access databases that retrieve information from MAS200.  I just started rolling out Windows 7 on my users desktops recently and have found the same errors on all of the machines.

Here are the error is the first error Message:

System Error Code 126:  The specified module could not be found (c:\windows\system 32\pvxodbc.dll)

So I verified that the pvxodbc.dll file was NOT in the system32 folder, but in the syswow64.  So I made a copy of it and placed in the system32 folder.  I then got the following message:

The setup routines for the MAS90 4.0 ODBC Driver could not be loaded due to system error code 193.

I know these issues are not directly related to MAS200.  I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue on Windows 7 machines, when trying to get data from MAS200.  Thank you in advance.

    %WINDIR%\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe

Right click on odbcad32.exe and run as administrator

    Create your odbc connection.

how do I create the odbc connection? when i go to run as administrator a panel comes up with different connections in a list. There is the SOTAMAS90 one and I press configure it gives me the same original error 126 message.

    Windows 7

    1.  Make sure the UAC is turned off.  Changing it requires a reboot of the workstation.

    2. Install the Mas workstation setup as Administrator

    3. Your ODBC should be there and functional

    4. The above is correct for checking the odbc connection on a Windows 7 machine.
