Are these batches open batches, that is unposted? If so the only way to get rid of them is to post all batches. I really hope you did not purge Accounts Receivable History, I really hope you did not. That would be a really bad thing.

Yes, these are open batches. I was only attempting to purge deleted invoices, and did not purge anything else. So if I post these deleted invoices, then purge history and choose only deleted invoices, they will disappear?

I only want to get rid of these because we started out by trying things in our main company rather than the test company, and they are cluttering our customer files.

If you have open unposted batches which have deleted invoices then the correct way to purge is to update all batches. The system will then purge the records.

I have tried to update that batch, but Sage won't let me. When I try to go through the motions, it tells me that there's nothing there. I unchecked the "retain deleted invoices" box in A/R setup. I was able to get rid of two of my batches, but this one has a couple of invoices with -XD at the end, and they seem to be tenacious. It appears to let me delete them-there's no warning after I do so-but they are still there.

These are in A/R Invoice Data Entry, BTW.

Never mind, I had it in my head that I must print invoices before I updated the batch. I discovered that it's not necessary, and updated the batch of deleted invoices along with another one. Thanks for your help!
