Bill of Materials, Change Control, Remove,Delete, Replace Entry.  With VI you can only add lines, you cannot remove lines in any data entry module.

I do not have a "Remove, Delete, Replace Entry" item in BOM/Change Control. I do have one called "Replace and Delete Component Entry" but it seems to be an all-or-nothing. I need to change 200 items out of about 500 which use the material, not every item which uses the material.

The Replace and Delete Component Entry is all or nothing.  You could export the BM_BillDetails file to Excel and then make the changes in that file and then reimport back into Sage 100 that way.

However, it may take as much time as manually changing these by hand.

Is there any sort of logic to identify which bills need the change and which ones do not?

Yes, they are all items beginning with HE12 through HE14.

When I reimport back to Sage, will the line be overwritten, or will the new item be added additionally?

You will need to include the bill number, the bill revision, and the line key for the specific line that you wish to overwrite, otherwise, they I believe they would be added as a new item.
