I would bet you upgraded recently.  Crystal check formats from that have been upgraded from prior versions will have this problem due to some formulas that are no longer valid.

I always reformat the checks from scratch using a current template to avoid this problem as I haven't found the specific formulas/functions that cause the problem in the old templates.

Thank you but I have upgraded more than several clients and no one else has this problem?  I will follow the formula modification instructions.

Where this is happening have you checked the printers listed? When this happens when printing it usually indicates invalid printers.
